Current Development Status of China's Automotive Parts Industry

Recently, the results conference of the "Research on the Development of China's Automotive Parts Industry" was held in Xi'an. The report was jointly conducted and compiled by China Automotive Technology Research and China Automotive Parts Industry Research Association. The report systematically expounds the current development status, key issues, and future trends of China's automotive parts industry.

Since 2015, commissioned by the Equipment Department, the joint project team of China Automotive Technology Research and China Automotive Engineering Society Parts Industry Research Association (hereinafter referred to as the project team) has been established. Starting from four aspects: understanding the current situation, analyzing gaps, exploring problems, and forming countermeasures, the team has conducted on-site research and visits to more than 100 leading domestic vehicle and parts enterprises, as well as dozens of major parts industry clusters

Obtained first-hand data on enterprises and frontline understanding of industries. After systematic analysis and multiple verifications by industry authoritative experts, the project team has formed research results; — The Foundation of a Strong Country; — Research on the Development of China's Automotive Parts Industry.

As the foundation of the development of the automotive industry, the parts industry has become a solid support for the growth, strength, and optimization of China's independent automotive industry. Over the past 60 years, the domestic automotive parts industry has continued to grow, accompanied by reform driven joint ventures and cooperation, as well as market dividends brought about by explosive growth in domestic production and sales, achieving exciting leapfrog development. The overall output value exceeds 3.8 trillion yuan, and the proportion of zero scale remains stable

Step up to 1:1, with over 13000 large-scale component enterprises and products covering nearly 1500 types of components in the automotive industry chain.

At present, there are over 100000 domestic parts enterprises, and there is a continuous emergence of well-developed and strong automotive parts enterprises in China. In the fierce market competition, a group of well-developed and strong enterprises still emerge, and significant achievements have been made in core technology innovation, supporting market breakthroughs, industrial strategic patterns, and internal enterprise reforms.

According to the classification of 8 major product areas and 10 types of enterprises, a series of characteristics of local excellent component enterprises have been systematically summarized, which has important guiding and reference significance for the development of industry enterprises. For foreign supporting enterprises, building overseas R&D and manufacturing bases and guiding forward-looking product development and design have become the main paths; For leading enterprises in segmented industries, introducing integrated foreign investment systems, deep cooperation between industry, academia and research, and military

The integration of industry and civilian use is the main path; For forward-looking intelligent enterprises, establishing a zero trust system and cross-border diversified technology integration have become new models.
